Pungkai has been selected for tough(er) love, a comprehensive group exhibition of artists from the Eyre Peninsula curated by John Neylon, opening at Flinders University City Gallery, Adelaide, on 22 February.

tough(er) love showcases artists from the remote Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. This is the first time that artists from this region have been brought together to exhibit in Adelaide. The artists and works are as diverse as the terrain they come from. As Neylon writes in the exhibition catalogue:

"Delicacy but resilience. Stories to tell. Seeing the landscape through different eyes. Doing it tough but loving every minute of it. These perspectives are the stuff that tough(er) love is built on. They recognise the challenges of living in demanding and remote circumstances. But they celebrate the land and its peoples for the gift of, an another tough(er) love artist Pungkai puts it, 'knowing who you are, where are from and where you are going.' "

Beaver Lennon, Verna Lawrie and Elma Lawrie are also participating artist from Ceduna Aboriginal Art and Culture Centre.
